April 2015

Traveled: To California to visit my grandmother. You can read about that here and see photos here.

Wrote: This short bit about teaching kids in the outreach program for the 502 Power Yoga blog.

Read: Into the Wild, An Abundance of Katherines, Of Love and Shadows, Leaving Time, The Guardians, The Last Jew

Watched: The Age of Adaline. Not only did Blake Lively look stunning in all her outfits, but I enjoyed the narrative, too.

Ran: 103 miles. Not too shabby. 10 of those were the Papa John’s 10 Miler at the beginning of the month. The rest of the month I’ve taken easy. Running through the park has been so beautiful now that leaves are green and flowers are blooming.

Taught: Four in-studio classes, three outreach classes with the kids, one Free Yoga Friday class, and three Mama & Baby yoga classes. I was asked to do a six week series for Mama & Baby, and so far it has stretched my knowledge of yoga, challenged me to step out of my comfort zone and create, and been full of cuteness.

Attended: Creative Mornings, with Leticia Bajuyo speaking on the topic of humility. I loved her take on the balance between humility, confidence, and work ethic in the creative process.

Said Amen! to: This article on the importance of eating a filling breakfast.
